This carousel has been part of Conneaut Lake Park, formerly Exposition Park, since approximately 1914. It was assembled by T.M. Harton of Pittsburgh, who also owned and operated carousels at West View and Waldameer Park, and it featured the detailed and realistic figures of Daniel Carl Muller, one of the talented carvers and carousel artists who flourished during the golden age of carousels and amusement parks from the 1880s until the Great Depression of the 1930s. By June 25, 1989, it showcased both original Muller figures and new work by a new generation of artists, The Carousel Works, Inc. of Mansfield, OH, linking the memory of Muller and his fellow artists to the future of the wooden carousel.
