Polymath Park is a 130-acre resort in western Pennsylvania’s Laurel Highlands that preserves residential architecture linked to Frank Lloyd Wright and his circle. Within its forested setting are four historic houses: Wright’s Donald C. Duncan House and R. W. Lindholm Residence, and the Balter and Blum houses by his apprentice Peter Berndtson. The park grew from Berndtson’s 1962 plan for woodland dwellings, though only two were built there originally. It later added relocated Wright-designed houses from Illinois and Minnesota. Notable for combining preservation with active use, it offers guided tours, overnight stays in two houses, and support for maintenance and architectural education through nonprofit operation.
