Built about 1912 in Ochiltree, the Old Blasingame Home was designed by Mrs. John Blasingame with 19th century English and German influence and constructed by Sam Whittaker from lumber and red brick hauled from Glazier. The luxurious home had an attic, a full basement, heavy embossed picture moulding, and much intricate glass work, including two leaded stained glass windows of Bavarian design on the sides of the living room mantels. In 1961, the Willard McLarty family moved the house to Perryton.
