The M-60 battle tank entered service in 1960. It weighs 55 tons, carries a crew of four, is armed with a 105 mm main gun, can ford 48 inches of water, and can reach a speed of 30 miles per hour. Chrysler, later General Dynamics, produced 10,326 M-60 series tanks between 1959 and 1978 at the Detroit Army Tank Plant. The Auglaize Township Historical Society acquired M-60 A3 Tank serial no. 2451A on March 14, 1996.
