Industry
2
The Morris Canal and Banking Co. built this circa 1826 culvert to carry canal boats over Fox's Brook as they hauled anthracite coal, iron ore, and manufactured goods between Pennsylvania and New York. The site remains among the best-preserved remnants of the canal that helped sustain Morris County's iron industry.
