Randol Scott Shelton, known as Randy, was a lifelong resident of Schiller Park who attended Kennedy and Lincoln schools before graduating from East Leyden High School. He spent many of his days playing little league baseball and other sports with his family and friends at this field. Serving as PV2 in the U.S. Army from 2005 to 2007, he was killed in action in Iraq while fighting the war on terrorism on September 4, 2007.
