The grape vineyard, pear and apple trees honor David Huston and brothers Joseph and Alonzo Ross. The Hustons owned this property from 1849 to 1871, when it was sold to the Ross brothers. Both the Huston and Ross families grew grapes and made wine. David Huston's obituary said that he won premium awards from the Ohio Vine Growers Association. The grape vines in this display are believed to be cuttings from the original vineyard.
