Pine Mountain Reserve is a 368-acre protected open space in Ridgefield, Connecticut, centered on Pine Mountain, one of the town’s highest points at 1,021 feet. Known for its extensive hiking trails and several entrances, it forms part of a broader network linking Hemlock Hills, Bennett’s Pond Park, and Danbury’s Wooster Mountain State Park through the Ives Trail. Within the reserve, the yellow trail serves as the main route, climbing toward the summit area, joining the red trail, and passing a viewpoint over the Ridgefield Lakes with clear-day views to Long Island Sound. Near the peak, a loop encircles the true summit, where an old chimney and airplane tower remain.
