Riverside Nature Center is a non-profit arboretum and wildlife sanctuary on the Guadalupe River in Kerrville, Texas, created as a public garden devoted to native plants and the ecology of the Hill Country river environment. First envisioned by Susan Sander in 1987 and advanced by the Riverside Nature Center Association after 1989, the site was purchased in 1992 and developed through extensive clearing and planting. It now includes more than 140 tree species and about 200 kinds of wildflowers, cacti, shrubs, and native grasses, along with a butterfly garden, a sensory garden with Braille signs, and a natural river trail for education and quiet observation.
