Bushkill Falls is a group of eight privately owned waterfalls in Pennsylvania’s Pocono Mountains, formed by the Little Bush Kill and Pond Run Creek as they descend toward the Delaware River. With a tallest drop of more than 100 feet, the site became an early regional attraction when Charles E. Peters opened it to the public in 1904, and it has remained a managed visitor destination rather than a public preserve. Known for trails, bridges, boardwalks, and birdwatching, it has also drawn artists and tourists for generations. Its history includes both scenic fame and danger, underscored by a fatal off-trail fall in 2011.
