E.B. Hamrick Memorial Hall was dedicated in 1925 to honor those from Cleveland and Rutherford Counties who died in military service during World War One, 1914-1918, including Ira Alberto Crabtree, William Norwood Huggins, and Copher Mead Ewing. It was dedicated again in 1943 by the Gardner-Webb Board of Trustees honoring Elijah Bly Hamrick. In 2021, it was dedicated to honor those from the Gardner-Webb community who have died in military service to their country.
