The monument bears the seals of the U.S. Army, U.S. Navy, U.S. Marine Corps, and U.S. Air Force on its west, south, east, and north facades, with inscriptions honoring the men of all wars, sons who gave their lives, all men in the Valhalla which all heroes ascend, and all men who have made the supreme sacrifice, alongside references to World War II, World War I, Vietnam, and Korea.
