Henry and Emelia Wrage opened the Quarterhorse Motel in the 1950s. In addition to regular rooms, it featured stables for horses. It became the Western in the 1970s. Today the site is also home to a giant fiberglass chief that originally stood at a gift shop in Massachusetts.
