East Canyon State Park in Morgan County, Utah, northeast of Salt Lake City, is centered on a 608-acre reservoir in a narrow-walled canyon about 5,700 feet above sea level. The reservoir is impounded by East Canyon Dam, an arch concrete dam built from 1964 to 1966 that rises 259 feet and stretches 436 feet across. Fed by East Canyon Creek, the reservoir is part of the Weber Basin Project. The park is open year-round and serves as a recreation area with boating and camping facilities, including a launch ramp, RV campground, group-use pavilions, boat rental, and other visitor amenities.
