Lake Barkley State Resort Park is a public recreation area in western Kentucky on the eastern shore of Lake Barkley, about five miles west of Cadiz. It is one of Kentucky’s state parks near Land Between the Lakes, the 170,000-acre isthmus between Lake Barkley and Kentucky Lake. Its lakeside setting makes it a scenic base for recreation on Lake Barkley, while its broader significance comes from its place within the water-and-forest landscape of Land Between the Lakes and Kentucky’s group of parks associated with that distinctive peninsula between two major reservoirs.
