Troedrhiwdalar Welsh Congregational Church was organized by Reverend Rees Powell in 1839 for Welsh pioneers in the southern part of Radnor Township. Its first meeting house, built of logs in 1842, was replaced by the current brick structure in 1849 as membership grew quickly. The church took the name Troedrhiwdalar because most of its members had belonged to a church of the same name in Wales, and to distinguish it from the Congregational Church in the village of Delhi/Radnor. About 1905 it became known as Radnor South, and around 1917 it ceased operations. Reverend Powell died in 1893 at age 88, and he is buried in the church burying ground with his wife Elizabeth, two young daughters, and son.
