The M4A3 Sherman Medium Tank was a variation of the M4, which was made in seven variations from February, 1942 through June, 1945. Ford Motor Company produced a 500 HP version. A total of 54,645 were made. These tanks ranged from 33.5 to 41 tons and were armed with a 75mm, 76mm, 105mm, or 17 pounder main gun; the M4A3 carried a 75mm cannon and three machine guns, and weighed 33.5 tons.
