Freeman's Corner marks the junction of three important Indian land cessions: the Treaty of Fort Wayne in 1803, the Treaty of Grouseland in 1805, and the Treaty of Fort Wayne in 1809. The corner was established by Surveyor Thomas Freeman in 1803.
