Manly Peak Wilderness is a protected area in eastern California, established in 1994 by the California Desert Protection Act and managed by the Bureau of Land Management along the border of Death Valley National Park. Its defining landform is Manly Peak, which rises to 7,196 feet and takes its name from pioneer William Lewis Manly. The wilderness is notable for the way its vegetation changes with elevation, from creosote bush scrub in the lower desert to piñon-juniper woodlands higher up, creating a landscape that links stark basin terrain with upland slopes.
