Logan County includes the highest point in Ohio and was the site of ten Indian towns: Wapatomica, Blue Jacket, Mackachack, Moluntha, Lewis, Old, Zane, Solomon, McKee, and Buckongehelas. It is also associated with the Zane-Kenton Monument, Squaw Rock, Fort Wapatomica, and Kenton's Grave. The first organized Methodist Church mission movement began here in 1819.
