Green, W. Harris, Pte. W. C. Weston, E. Kernahan, J.E. Crawford, H. C. Harrison, P. McMillan, E.H. Stirrett, A. H. G. Muir, R. Trader, and P. Hill, and in the Second World War of 1939-1945 the dead from Chapple were remembered in grateful remembrance as Mervin Ahrens, Lawrence Atkinson, Clarence Bolen, William Crawford, Wilfred Harrison, Robert Kavanaugh, William Matthews, Robert McMillan, William Moore, Edwin Namaypoke, Norman Roulston, Frank Rowley, Robert Stevens, and Glyn Walters; the remembrance is joined to the words “Lest We Forget” and “Greater Love hath no man than this” and to the battle names Ypres, Somme, Viny Ridge, Passchendaele, Amiens, Arras, Cambral, and Valenciennes.
