Springfield Recreation Area is a state recreation area in southeastern South Dakota, about 30 miles west of Yankton, on the upper part of Lewis and Clark Lake with access to both the lake and the Missouri River. It is used chiefly for boating, fishing, and hunting, and includes a 20-site campground and a boat launch for visitors using the water. In 2002, ownership passed from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers to South Dakota Game, Fish and Parks.
