Upper Stevens Creek Falls, in Mount Rainier National Park in Washington, is a little-known but remarkable waterfall on Stevens Creek, a tributary of the Cowlitz River. Often regarded as one of the state's greatest waterfalls, it drops about 375 feet in a horsetail form and spreads to roughly 60 feet wide before plunging into a narrow, barren canyon. Despite its impressive size and dramatic setting, it remains largely overlooked because good views require significant off-trail travel, which is prohibited.
