Marcus A. Hanna was a successful, resourceful, constructive businessman, protectionist, and statesman who, by the uniform application of ability, integrity, and industry, achieved notable success in widely varied social, political, and business pursuits. He was born at New Lisbon, Ohio, September 24th 1837, and died in Washington, D.C., February 19th 1904.
