Founded in 2013 by Tommy Gelinas in Van Nuys, Valley Relics Museum preserves the commercial, cultural, and everyday history of the San Fernando Valley through a collection of more than 20,000 objects from the 1800s to the present. Its strengths include vintage signs, neon, postcards, fast-food memorabilia, BMX bicycles, and artifacts tied to local landmarks, car culture, entertainment, and postwar growth. Notable holdings include the Palomino Club sign, work by designer Nudie Cohn and two family-owned Nudiemobiles, and pieces such as the Tiffany Theater sign and Tail o’ the Pup. After moving in 2018 to a larger site near Van Nuys Airport, it could display more of its vast collection.
