James and Susan Angevine moved from New York to York Township in Dearborn County in 1818 and built this second cabin on their property about 1820. They raised their children in the cabin until 1830, after which it was used as a rental property until the Dearborn County Historical Society purchased it in 1985, restored it, and moved it to its current location.
