The Cade Museum for Creativity and Invention in Gainesville, Florida, is devoted to invention, entrepreneurship, and the meeting of science with art, advancing Dr. Robert Cade’s idea of “purposeful creativity.” Founded through a family foundation established in 2004, it opened in 2018 after years of fundraising and construction during downtown Gainesville’s revitalization. Its 26,000-square-foot building in Depot Park was designed in the spiral form of a nautilus shell to evoke mathematical ideas and discovery. Exhibits highlight University of Florida-linked innovations and broader technological history, while educational programs, workshops, camps, and visits from living inventors make it a center for hands-on learning and community engagement.
