The Curry School District honored the men who served their country during the World War of 1917-1918 and held sacred the memory of those who died for liberty, justice, and peace: Forest C. Burdette, Harvey E. Carpenter, Vicker Hall, John L. Jordon, Issac C. Smith, Nuel S. Vance, and Benjamin C. Harper.
