Hidden Lake Peaks is a short chain of summits in Washington’s North Cascades, rising on the west edge of North Cascades National Park east of Marblemount. Named for Hidden Lake in a cirque below the main peaks, the area is shaped by heavy Pacific snowfall, avalanche-prone slopes, and a long geologic history of terrane assembly, uplift, faulting, and Pleistocene glaciation. A notable feature is Hidden Lake Lookout, a fire lookout built by the U.S. Forest Service in 1931, staffed until 1958, restored beginning in 1961, and listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1987. The peaks and lookout remain a popular hiking destination with expansive mountain views.
