During the Korean War, 132,000 of Wisconsin's sons and daughters served the cause of freedom. Of them, 801 were killed in action, 4,286 were wounded, sick, or injured in action, 111 became prisoners of war, 54 died in POW camps, and 84 remained missing in action.
