In Leavenworth, Kansas, the C.W. Parker Carousel Museum preserves a major chapter in American carousel manufacturing tied to Charles Wallace Parker, whose 1898 Carry-Us-All helped move his growing company from Abilene to Leavenworth. Opened in 2005, the museum features working rides, restored figures, and music machines, highlighted by a fully operational 1913 Carry-Us-All with 31 hand-carved wooden features. Its collection also includes a portable 1950s Liberty Carousel built by Paul Parker and a much older hand-turned carousel from about 1850–1860. Volunteer labor, community support, and traditional restoration methods have been essential to preserving these rare surviving carousels.
