Carlock - Wilkinson Home
Military
2
Built in 1903 by M.D. Carlock Sr., a Confederate courier and a prominent early-day attorney and political leader, this home welcomed Governors Hogg and Colquitt and Miss Ima Hogg as guests. In this home, the gracious living and entertaining of the Old South endured as a way of life. After the deaths of M.D. and Rhea Carlock Jr. in 1996, Norma Wilkinson acquired the Carlock home and meticulously restored the landmark to its early 20th-century grandeur.
