The Mojave Desert changes with the seasons, bringing winter freezing temperatures, strong winds, and rain and snow in the mountains; spring wildflowers with enough moisture; summer heat with temperatures above 100 degrees Fahrenheit and travel to higher elevations such as Mid-Hills and the New York Mountains; and cooler fall temperatures that mark hunting season.
