Hayes Bridge is a historic wooden covered bridge in West Buffalo Township, Union County, Pennsylvania. Built in 1882, it carries a road over the west, or south, branch of Buffalo Creek. Its 63-foot King truss span is a compact example of a traditional covered road bridge type that was once common in rural Pennsylvania. Repairs in 1957 helped preserve the 19th-century structure, and its listing on the National Register of Historic Places in 1980 recognized its importance in the region’s transportation and architectural history.
