Henry Covered Bridge
Transportation
Henry Covered Bridge, southeast of Bartlett in rural Washington County, Ohio, is a historic covered road bridge built in 1894. Carrying Township Road 61 off Ohio State Route 550, it is a short-span example of the practical wooden bridges that were once common on local roads. Its multiple kingpost truss reflects a simple timber design suited to modest crossings. At 45 feet long, it is relatively small, but its enclosed form and late-19th-century construction preserve the character of an older transportation landscape that has largely vanished. It remains recognized as a historic bridge in southeastern Ohio.
