The Thomas Starr King Bell
History
Thomas Starr King donated this bell to the town of Volcano in 1862 in gratitude for the town's support for the Union and the election of Abraham Lincoln. Originally located at the Methodist Cemetery, it was moved to its present location after the cemetery was destroyed by fire. The bell is Vickers cast steel and was manufactured in Sheffield, England.
