Stanton Masonic Lodge And School
Education

Built in 1871, six years after the end of the Civil War, the Stanton Lodge and School served two purposes from the beginning. Before free public education arrived, concerned Masons constructed the two-story building to educate the community's young people and used the second floor for meetings. After the county built a new school in 1920, the building accommodated a variety of community meetings. Restoration of the Greek Revival building began in 1985.
