Built on one acre of land given by Benjamin Flagg in 1889, this one-room African American schoolhouse began as a Subscription School offering education for grades 1-8 until the mid-1960s. It was moved from its original location near the small farming community of Nutbush in 2012 and restored and opened as the Tina Turner Museum in 2014, preserving the legacy of the Flagg family and the importance of education for all people.
