Hat Mountain
Nature
Hat Mountain is a summit in the Warner Mountains of northeastern California, south of Eagle Peak. Rising to 8,741 feet, it is the highest point in Lassen County. Lost Lake lies northwest of the summit, and the mountain’s high elevation strongly influences local conditions, with most precipitation falling as snow. Its combination of great height, snowy climate, and status as the county’s highest point gives Hat Mountain its geographic importance in this part of California.
