The current building at this location was built in 1917. It has housed hardware stores, grocery stores, garages, and auto dealers, including Rothberger Motor Auto Sales. Since 2001 it has been home to Quilting Bits and Pieces, a renowned quilt store. In the often turbulent 1850s and 1860s, Eudora's only fort, a small log structure, stood at the southeast corner of 8th and Main Streets, close to this location.
