The first court held in Pulaski County met in a building known as the James Tiffany House on May 9, 1839. During that term, an order was entered adopting the house of Henry Hance, a great-grandfather of K.B. Alexander, the present owner, as a place to hold court. The court was presided over by John M.C. Taylor, Presiding Justice.
