Mount Elizabeth Archeological Site in Jensen Beach, Florida, is a prehistoric midden and archaeological site on the Indian River Lagoon that preserves evidence of a long span of occupation and activity. Associated with the Late Archaic Orange III Period in the East Okeechobee Cultural Area, it was significant from about 2000 BC into the first millennium AD as both a village site and a religious place. Also known as Racey’s Tuckahoe, St. Joseph’s Novitiate, and the Mount Elizabeth Indian Mound, it reflects layers of later property history.
