This area is dedicated to the memory of Sgt. Paul H. Lawing, Jr., who lived from May 14, 1950, to June 14, 1972. He was a dedicated high school student and athlete who later served in the U.S. Army Special Forces in Viet Nam, where his heroic actions saved the lives of twenty-two men from ambush. He died that others might live.
