Goat Peak is a 7,001-foot mountain in the North Cascades of northern Washington near Mazama and one of three summits in the state with that name. Its summit is noted for broad views across the Methow River valley and toward other prominent Cascade peaks, including glaciated Silver Star Mountain. A working U.S. Forest Service fire lookout on top gives the mountain both scenic appeal and an ongoing practical purpose. The trailhead is reached from Forest Road 52 about 1 mile southeast of Mazama, and the climb begins at roughly 5,600 feet.
