Eagle Peak is the highest summit in the Warner Mountains and the highest point in Modoc County, rising in northeastern California within the South Warner Wilderness of Modoc National Forest. Its great elevation means that much of its precipitation falls as snow. Set in a federally protected wilderness, the mountain retains a strongly undeveloped character. This combination of height, remoteness, and protected surroundings makes Eagle Peak one of the prominent high summits in this remote part of the state.
