Mount Patterson
Nature
Mount Patterson is the highest summit in the Sweetwater Mountains of Mono County, California, rising to 11,654 feet (3,552 meters). Among the prominent high points of this rugged range, it is distinguished chiefly by its elevation and exposed alpine setting. The summit has an alpine climate, characterized from interpolated data for the surrounding area rather than from measurements taken at a weather station on the mountain itself. As the top of the Sweetwater Mountains, it holds significance as the range’s loftiest and most exposed peak.
