William Heathcote built this building in 1827 as a woolen mill. In 1851 it was sold to Phillip Sheffer and Charles Olp, and after Sheffer bought out Olp he converted it into a grist mill in 1852. In March 1885 Israel Glatfelter bought the mill from the G.F. Seitz estate and made many improvements that increased its capacity. In December 1893 Glatfelter added the front building to the mill and moved his clothing store there, creating the first building in town to have large glass display windows. In 1918 Glatfelter sold the mill to B. Frank and Thaddeus Owings, who, along with flour, began to manufacture June Bug Feed. After 131 years of service, the mill stopped operating in 1983, and in 1984 the building was converted into a restaurant.
