The part of U.S. 25 between Saluda Dam Road and U.S. 276 was named in 1986 by action of the General Assembly and highway commission in recognition of Beattie E. Huff's 24 years of dedicated service to Greenville County and South Carolina as a member of the House of Representatives from 1961 to 1984.
