Deep Space Station - 14 supported space exploration beginning with the Mariner 4 mission to Mars and over the years provided a vital link to NASA's robotic explorers across the solar system, including Voyager, Mars Exploration Rovers, Casini, and Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter. It also served as a radio and radar telescope, studying nearby asteroids and planets as well as distant quasars and other objects in the universe.
