The Minnesota Military and Veterans Museum at Camp Ripley near Little Falls preserves Minnesota’s military history across all service branches and the home front through a public-private partnership with the Minnesota Historical Society and the Minnesota National Guard. Housed in a former Minnesota National Guard headquarters within the state’s 53,000-acre training center, it has grown into the state’s largest military repository, with nearly 35,000 artifacts, extensive archival records, and a library of more than 15,000 books and pamphlets. Its exhibits and grounds connect Minnesota’s military experience from frontier forts and pre-Civil War militia through modern deployments, with displays ranging from personal items to tanks, aircraft, artillery, and preserved historic structures.
